Industrial solar for Tamil Nadu factories.
Factory rooftop, ground-mount and open-access solar, engineered around your process load, by an EPC that has built 150+ MW since 2013.
Goggles Energy designs, builds and maintains industrial solar plants for Tamil Nadu factories, from 25 kWp MSME rooftops to MW-scale ground-mount and open access. Industrial HT power costs about ₹7.5 per unit plus demand charges; solar replaces daytime units at a fraction of that, typically paying back in 3–5 years, or with zero investment under RESCO.

Solar by industry
Textile & spinning mills
Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Erode, Karur. Round-the-clock loads and large shed roofs; rooftop plus open access offsets a big share of the power bill.
Auto components & electronics
Sriperumbudur, Oragadam, Hosur, Chennai belt. Daytime shift loads match solar; RE100 and supply-chain carbon targets.
Engineering, foundry & pumps
Coimbatore and Trichy. Heavy daytime loads; metal-deck roofs engineered for IS 875 wind loads.
Rice mills & food processing
Delta districts and across Tamil Nadu. Seasonal peaks, dryers and conveyors; solar cuts the cost per tonne processed.
Cold storage & dairy
Compressors run all day; solar offsets peak afternoon cooling load, with battery options for outages.
Pharma & chemicals
Stable process loads, strict uptime; solar runs in parallel with the grid and DG without disturbing operations.
Plastics, packaging & printing
Sivakasi, Chennai, Coimbatore. Moulding and printing lines are daytime-heavy and roof-rich.
Paper & board mills
High continuous loads; ground-mount or open access alongside rooftop.
Poultry & farms
Namakkal and western Tamil Nadu. Ventilation and lighting loads; shed roofs suit solar.
Warehouses & logistics
Large flat roofs with modest load; export surplus under net feed-in or lease the roof under RESCO.
Granite, stone & cement
Cutting and crushing loads; ground-mount on unused land.
MSMEs of every kind
From 25 kWp upward: CAPEX, loan or zero-investment RESCO, with accelerated depreciation for eligible businesses.
What industrial clients get
- Load-matched design. We size against your 15-minute load profile, not your roof area, so you do not overpay for exported units.
- Structural engineering. Roof audit, IS 875 wind-load design and corrosion-rated fixings for coastal plants.
- Grid and DG integration. Zero-export controllers, DG synchronisation and protection coordination.
- Approvals. TNPDCL net feed-in or gross metering, CEIG / electrical inspectorate clearances.
- Monitoring and O&M. Remote monitoring, cleaning schedules and performance-ratio reporting.
Indicative cost
| Capacity | Indicative turnkey cost | ₹ / W |
|---|---|---|
| 100 kWp | ₹45–50 lakh | ~₹45–50 |
| 250 kWp | ₹1.05–1.15 crore | ~₹42–46 |
| 500 kWp | ₹2.0–2.2 crore | ~₹40–44 |
| 1 MWp | ₹3.8–4.2 crore | ~₹38–42 |

FAQ
Which is the best industrial solar EPC company in Tamil Nadu?
Choose an engineering-led EPC, not a panel seller: check completed local projects, in-house TNPDCL (TANGEDCO) approvals, ALMM-listed Tier-1 modules with written yield estimates, structural design to IS 875, and its own O&M team. Goggles Energy has done this across Tamil Nadu since 2013, with 150+ MW engineered over 500+ projects. Compare at least three quotes.
How much does a factory rooftop solar plant cost in Tamil Nadu?
Indicatively ₹45–50 lakh for 100 kWp, ₹2.0–2.2 crore for 500 kWp and ₹3.8–4.2 crore for 1 MWp, before subsidies and GST. Per-watt cost falls as size grows.
Can my factory's metal shed roof take solar panels?
Usually yes. We check purlin spacing, sheet condition and wind zone, then design a lightweight rail or clamp system to IS 875. Weak or asbestos roofs need assessment first.
Can a factory get solar with zero investment?
Yes. Under RESCO / PPA or BOOT, Goggles Energy or a financing partner owns the plant and you buy solar units at a tariff below your grid rate.
Is net metering allowed for industries in Tamil Nadu?
Under the TNERC framework, industrial consumers can use net feed-in up to their sanctioned load (maximum 999 kW), with gross metering for larger non-domestic plants. A 2024 draft regulation is pending, so we confirm the current rules in every feasibility study.
Rooftop or open access: which is better for my factory?
Rooftop is cheapest per unit but limited by roof area. Open access or group captive solar supplies more of a large HT load from an off-site plant, after wheeling and other charges. Most large plants use both.
